On March 16, 2018, The Weiner Law Firm LLC, on behalf of its client Michael Miner, filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against consumer reporting agency Cole Systems Group.  According to the lawsuit, Cole Systems Group violated Sections 1681e(b) and 1681k of the Fair Credit Reporting Act when it published inaccurate, incomplete and not up-to-date public record information about Mr. Miner in an employment background report.  Mr. Miner also alleges in the lawsuit that Cole Systems Group violated Section 1681g of the FCRA when it failed to provide him with his consumer file following his request, failed to identify the sources of information in his file, and failed to identify the persons who received a copy of his consumer report.  The case is Miner v. Cole Systems Group LLC, Civil Action Number 1:18-cv-01100-WSD-CMS pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
